Silent Auction Tips

Note: All bidding will be online only this year, through this website. The auction will open for bids on Sun, April 23 (one week before the event). All items will be on display at the tea party. The auction will close during the tea party at 3PM. (All items have a "Buy Now" option, so some items may already be sold before the tea party event.)

The tea party ends at 3:30PM. Winners need not be present to win but those who are may take their items home with them that day.

* Registration: is required to make donations, purchases or bid on any silent auction item, but don't worry- it's quick and easy. Just click the link at the top to register. Once registered, you'll receive a link via text or email. Click it to be automatically logged into the site and access your own personal bidding center. Do not share that link, as it is connected to your personal account (and your credit card, if already entered). The link to share to invite others to participate is: RoyalTea2024.GiveSmart.com.

      2. Follow the prompts from the texts received.

* Categories: When viewing our auction item listing, click the "Categories" button at the top of the list to filter for your specific interests.

* Watchlist: Once you've registered, you can add items to your "Watchlist." Then at the top of the auction item listing, click "My Activity", to view items you've bid on, purchased, and those on your "Watchlist."

* Duplicate Items: We have multiples of some items and each is listed as a separate auction item. It is noted in the item description if there are more of that type of item. The extras of all items can be found at the end of our auction item list (item #500 and above). So even if someone already purchased an item you were watching (using the "Buy Now" option), you may still have a chance to win the others.

Bidding Options

* Minimum Bid: You can either choose to bid the minimum amount to outbid the previous donor or
* Buy Now: Choose the BUY NOW option to commit to purchasing the item at the BUY NOW price listed. This stops all bidding on the item.

NOTE:  Our auction does not have an "Auto Bid" option. It was not possible to activate that option and the "Buy Now" option simultaneously.

   How to Register By Text:
       1. Text RoyalTea2024 to 76278
          Once registered, you will receive a welcome text from 76278. 

   How to Bid By Text:
       1. You must register first (see above).
       2. Reply to your welcome text by texting an item number.
           A text with the item details and minimum bid amount will be sent.
       3. Text item number and bid amount
           Example: Text "102 300" then press send. (This will bid $300 on Item #102.)

  How to Donate By Text:
       1. You must register first (see above).
       2. Reply to your welcome text: "Give" and AMOUNT.
           Example: Text: "Give 100" then press send.

  How to Buy By Text:   (Applies to instant purchase items like re-usable totes and face masks.)
      1. You must register first (see above).
      2. Reply to your welcome text by texting an item number.
         A text with the item details and amount will be sent.
      3. Reply: "Buy" and AMOUNT.
         Example: "Buy 300" then press send. (This will purchase one of Item #300.)

   How to Vote By Text:
      1. You must register first (see above).
      2. Reply to your welcome text: "Vote" and the ITEM#.
          Example: Text "Vote 1000"  (This will vote once for item #1000.)
         Vote as often you'd like for as many entries as you'd like.

Checkout & Pay

* Donations:  For those making a monetary donation without bidding on an item, follow the steps in the video below to checkout immediately.

* Silent Auction Purchases: After the auction closes at 3:00PM on Sunday, 4/28, bidding on all silent auction items will close and you may then follow the steps in the video below to checkout.

Pay by Cash
Cash payments will be accepted at the Royal Tea Party event or at one of the pickup dates listed below. Exact change is appreciated for cash payments.

* All items will be available for pickup at the Royal Tea Party or:

Monday, April 29 5:30PM - 6:30PM
Saturday, May 4  11 AM - Noon
